Scene: Lily is lying on the kitchen floor with her brothers T ball cleats on and his hat on backwards with both feet up on the wall.
Conversation is as follows:
Mommy: Lily, please get your feet off the wall, those shoes are dirty.
Lily: No response, only staring at me with a "What are you going to do about it," look on her face.
Mommy: Lily, did you hear me, please get your feet off the wall. You are making it dirty.
Lily: Still no response, but giving the same attitude.
Mommy: (Now standing directly above Lily looking down on her). Lily Kayte, get your feet off the wall right now or I'm going to spank you!
Lily: With a very solemn look on her face, "I tan't (can't) I'm dead."
